Pelican Landing Bonaire Retreat

Our beautiful waterfront condos have a range of room types to suite your every need. Whether you want a suite for two or a penthouse for up to twelve guests you will enjoy your stay at Pelican Landing. If traveling with a boat, the facility is boat accessible by powerboat only, because a fixed bridge offers only an 18-foot clearance. The marina offers 16 boat slips accommodating vessels up to 45 feet with a 13-foot beam. Clean your catch at the dock’s fish cleaning station available to all our guests. Then take a few steps to the open-air poolside grill and learn the meaning of fresh fish. Pelican Landing is a short walk to a marina where world-class fishing and scuba charters can be engaged. After spending some time on the water, you might want to enjoy the charms of Old Town and Duval Street. Luckily, a quick bicycle ride is all it takes. Our facility is located just one short mile the Duval Street area. Across the street from Pelican Landing is Bayview Park where you can play tennis, shoot hoops, or just hang out.



Retreats (for 6 – 8 people) feature two bedrooms and two private baths. The master bedroom has a king bed, the guest bedroom has two queen beds, and the living room has a queen sleeper sofa with a dining area. This unit has a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, blender, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and breakfast bar. Living room and one bedroom has sliding glass doors which open onto a private balcony overlooking the water. Other room features are central A/C, ceiling fans, large walk-in closets, cable TV in living room and bedrooms, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and beach towels. Pelican Landing’s heated swimming pool is surrounded by a sundeck. There is a minimum stay requirement on weekends, during special events and holidays, and during season.



One boat slip is included with this Retreat. Each Retreat can only accommodate one boat; no exceptions. Trailer parking is not available on property. Trailer parking and additional boat slips are available across the harbor at the City of Key West Marina. Please contact the dock master’s office to make arrangements for trailer storage and/or additional boat slips at 305-809-3981.


Families are welcomed in our vacation rentals. Student groups are not permitted. Our minimum age requirement to rent is 25 years old. Everyone in your party must be 25 years old to check in unless accompanied by a parent. No Birthday Bachelor or Bachelorette parties. No Pets

  Roomy 2 BR, 2 bathroom condo on the second floor corner unit. View from balcony over looks the marina and faces East (nice sine rises). Unit is well stocked. Would have preferred both bedrooms having double queens, the one HS a single king bed. The unit is round a mile from Duval Street, which is walkable. We rented a boat but didn’t use the provided dock, which is a nice bonus. There is plenty parking and a pool in the back.

  Check in was smooth and the condo is in a nice location but you do need to drive to restaurants/attractions since it is a significant walk to most everything. Don't plan on sleeping in because the garbage pickup almost daily wakes you at 5:10 AM since it is located directly under the condo. The dishwasher door and handle were filthy when we arrived and the kitchen did not have 1 bowl with a lid to store leftovers or to use in the microwave. The knifes need to be replaced as they were to dull to cut most anything and one actually fell apart in my hand while trying to use. The pool area is nice but while there was a gentleman that came most mornings to add chemicals and a young man to straighten chairs, no one ever used the net to clean out all the bird feathers in the water. The birds drink from the pool each morning and leave droppings and feathers all over so we stopped using the pool area after 2nd day. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms sufficient. We wanted to rent bikes but during our week stay the office was not open once which was disappointing. The dock area was nice to walk out on to view sealife.

  This is the only place that had a boat slip that was somewhat affordable but renter beware!
  The unit we received didn't have a pull out couch and when told to the rental company they said, "oh well, sorry!" So basically they did nothing.
  All day long people were loud at the pool and obnoxious but we made a little noise on the balcony after 10pm and they threatened to throw us out with out a refund!!!!
  When we were leaving the elevator was broken and overall it was not a pleasant experience.

  I will say when we got to the door we were a little nervous. Didn’t look very attractive from the outside, but once we got into the unit...gorgeous. Spacious, clean and a beautiful view. Two bedrooms; one king facing the water and one room with 2 queen beds. Two bathrooms. The balcony is huge. A little over a mile to Duval one way and a little over a mile to shopping plazas. Staff are super friendly!

  Pelican's Landing never disappoint. We have stayed in your retreat a number of times. This particular apt was well-equipped, furnished very nicely, clean with comfortable beds and furniture. Although we enjoyed the porch, some work needs to be done on the floor as the tile is buckling and a little unsafe. We placed a cooler over a really bad spot after stumbling a few times. The unit had a can opener but it did not work; we struggled opening cans but did not discover its uselessness until after the office had closed.

  We enjoyed our trip to Key West with our 4 teenagers. I knew the condo was outdated by the reviews and was fine with that. I booked the condo because I wanted all 6 of us in 1 spot and it was a perk to see the water from our balcony. The condo and balcony are very spacious. I was surprised at all the items that were broken or unkept - there must not be strict criteria for having a rental. The wicker chair on the balcony was broken and sits crooked. There's also a large crack on the balcony floor. A towel and a blanket had a large rip/hole. The chair in the living room had stuffing coming out of the cushion. No issues with check in (great communication before arrival). I'm giving 4 stars because we still had a great trip and the kids didn't care about the broken/torn items. However, if we return to Key West we'll choose to stay somewhere else.

  This family friendly condo was perfect for my group. It was overlooking the marina and faced the sunrise for the beautiful mornings. The décor was light and tropical which just added to our enjoyed vacation. No complaints from our group on sleeping accomodations. The boys shared the king bedroom and the 4 girls shared the room with 2 queen beds. I grabbed the couch with the extra linens provided. Granted, I pulled out the sofa bed and that would have put a damper on the week, but the sofa itself was cozy. Ceiling fans and a/c kept the temps comfortable all week. Not facing west, kept it cooler. The place was immaculate. Not in the bustle of the tourist area, but a mile walk pretty much to any of that and the beach. Night one the boys lit the grill and cooked burgers and dogs. Another night we picked up noodles and sauce for a dinner. The convenience of having the kitchen kept our trip budget friendly. Everything felt clean and safe. Would stay again and again and again!

It had fierce competition, since I usually use my retired Navy status to host guests at Trumbo. We had a fantastic stay at Pelican. Loved our quarters, the pool, the fish cleaning table, the tarpon, nurse sharks, mangrove snapper, and much more. We were also very well treated by staff. I hope this will not be our last stay there. Porch/balcony definitely needed floor repair as there is a big tea approximately2 feet where someone could get caught in and fall. Stairs to pool were a tight spiral.... Definitely wouldn't do with a buzz! Pool area extremely nice. Floors were extremely dirty. If barefoot feet would be black. Overall though it is a nice location with great vow of the fishing harbor. Far enough to get away from the hustle bustle of Duval St.

The exterior of the building was a bit dirty and showed some wear, but as I said the unit was clean and in good condition.   We chose to stay at Pelican Landing because they have their own small marina and we were able to park our boat there for no extra charge. We usually always stay in one of the older bed and breakfast hotels in Old Town, but since Pelican Landing is located in Garrison Bight and we had our boat this time, it was very easy to get gas on our way out to explore the waters around KW. We also brought our bikes and the bike ride from the condo to the Schooner Wharf area was less than 10 minutes (and we bike very slow). With it being located out near Roosevelt (the main road when you come in from Stock Island), it was also very easy to run get groceries, liquor and beer whenever we needed it.
  
  As far as the accommodation itself, it is an older condo, but was very clean and roomy and our huge balcony overlooked the harbor. Our furniture had all been updated, so it wasn't like it was severely outdated, but like with most older condos in FL, the ceilings are really low and the tile and bathrooms are pretty outdated. However, like I said, they were very clean and it really didn't matter because you won't be in your condo much anyway.
  
  As far as the rest of the facility, it was great because there is a bike rack in the garage for your bikes, an elevator with carts for your luggage/groceries, another cart available to load your boat with your supplies, a fish cleaning station, bathrooms downstairs by the marina,the City marina is across the way to leave your boat trailer, water hoses in case you need to hose down your motor, a swimming pool, lots of seating and chairs to lay out, and it is located next door to one of our fave pubs in KW, Mellow Ventures. The set up could not have been more convenient.
  
  Michelle and the others in the front office were really great to work with and were very helpful. We will definitely be back down with our boat in the near future and probably won't stay anywhere else again. The rates were much more reasonable than

  Very nice view. Rooms are clean and roomy. Location is convenient. It's not in Old town but close enough for biking there. The only problem is the toilet. Water level is set too low, so flushing is too weak. You really will have to flush multiple times if you don't want to end up with a clog toilet. It's kind of defeat the purpose of saving water. I hate all green technology, so my review is already biased. The only true way to save the environment is don't waste and reuse whenever possible, not green technology that makes it inconvenient for the consumers.

  Two of my friends and I rented Pelican Landing for 5 days. It's a beautiful space with a huge living room and a great balcony overlooking the marina. Mellow Cafe downstairs has excellent tacos and Duval street is about a mile away. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and we used both but it does look like one of the bedrooms is rented separately.   Condo is huge! perfect for what we needed, though the elevators are extremely slow moving. Also, there was a leak in the pipes in the unit above us and it leaked into one of the bathrooms. It took two days for this to be fixed and cleaned up. Also, when we used the grills one caught fire as soon as it was turned on from all of the "gunk" built up in it. After a few minutes it burnt down and was fine to use but someone called the fire department and we were threatened to be evicted due to no fault of our own.

  Alexandria was fantastic throughout the booking stage and at check in making arrival effortless.
  It is approx a 25 min walk to Duval along Truman but there are taxi's, bikes or mopeds to hire if you wish to make the journey easier, especially after a long night partying????

  Great option for Key West lodging. Felt like a private resort as we had the entire place to ourselves, basically. The pool was great and we used the grills to cook some lobsters. We loved the spacious accomodations and the furniture was extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed in the unit and it was very clean. We did experience some sugar ants in our unit, but the management responded quickly and took care of it. We will definitely stay here again when visiting KW in the future. Great water views and very quiet place. Such a better value than a hotel - and much cheaper too.

  The location was perfect for us since we had a boat and the rental came with a boat slip. Our balcony even looked down on our boat. Room space was very adequate for the eight of us. I would definitely recommend this condo, especially for those with a boat. Only issue we had was the washing machine would not work and they finally fixed it on our last day. (Maintenance said this part ALWAYS breaks, so why don't they keep extras handy???)

  The rental unit was fine - the living area was spacious and we loved that we had a palm tree right outide our balcony. We could not walk barefoot even though the floors looked clean because it does state that diesel fuel from the boats leave a film if you keep the patio doors open, and some people's feet were black - but we were warned about that in the manual. The the amenities were great, plenty of utensils, glassware, dishes. The staff and service was excellent. We asked for daily towel service and we got it. The pool area was wonderful and we loved that we had direct and secure access from our balcony (2nd floor) to the pool. Definitely was worth the price. Thank you very much!

  Loud pool party erupted at 4am waking our entire party, loud cell phone talker outside the front doorway...property was very nice but the lack of enforcement and one loud group likely ruined the stay for all the other rooms (in the daytime there was a large group in the pool with ~300 empty bud light cans, making the pool essentially off limits for other guests). Management was very helpful when onsite and took care of us I just wish they had someone on property at night to enforce the rules a bit, when I called the after hours hotline someone came to the property within 15 minutes and shut down the pool party so I was happy with that.

  Yes you can stay in the "quaint" Key West bednbreakfasts and have that unique experience... BUT when you are traveling with two families this can be hugely expensive involving renting several hotel rooms at 200 a night!
  
  Pelican Landing is the ideal location with it's 2bed/2bath condominiums with a full kitchen, and even a pool with barbecue looking out over a picturesque marina bay! Two steps to the supermarket and you can save a bunch of money on meals... Of course you do have to savour some of KW's fine restaurants, but this way you dont have to pay restaurant prices 24/7..
  
  Pelican is also just at the north end of Olivia St and the whole northern residential section above Duval. For me this is always been my favorite area to bike through and ogle the most beautiful homes and gardens in KW!! In addition the whole Wharfside area and Pepe's are just down the road two...
  
  We have stayed in the South end of town as well, and PL is just as conveniently located to all the action without having it in your ear at night..
