Pelican Landing Andros Retreat

Our beautiful waterfront condos have a range of room types to suite your every need. Whether you want a suite for two or a penthouse for up to twelve guests you will enjoy your stay at Pelican Landing. If traveling with a boat, the facility is boat accessible by powerboat only, because a fixed bridge offers only an 18-foot clearance. The marina offers 16 boat slips accommodating vessels up to 45 feet with a 13-foot beam. Clean your catch at the dock’s fish cleaning station available to all our guests. Then take a few steps to the open-air poolside grill and learn the meaning of fresh fish. Pelican Landing is a short walk to a marina where world-class fishing and scuba charters can be engaged. After spending some time on the water, you might want to enjoy the charms of Old Town and Duval Street. Luckily, a quick bicycle ride is all it takes. Our facility is located just one short mile the Duval Street area. Across the street from Pelican Landing is Bayview Park where you can play tennis, shoot hoops, or just hang out.



Retreats (for 6 – 8 people) feature two bedrooms and two private baths. The master bedroom has a king bed, the guest bedroom has two queen beds, and the living room has a queen sleeper sofa with a dining area. This unit has a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, blender, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and breakfast bar. Living room and one bedroom has sliding glass doors which open onto a private balcony overlooking the water. Other room features are central A/C, ceiling fans, large walk-in closets, cable TV in living room and bedrooms, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and beach towels. Pelican Landing’s heated swimming pool is surrounded by a sundeck. There is a minimum stay requirement on weekends, during special events and holidays, and during season.



One boat slip is included with this Retreat. Each Retreat can only accommodate one boat; no exceptions. Trailer parking is not available on property. Trailer parking and additional boat slips are available across the harbor at the City of Key West Marina. Please contact the dock master’s office to make arrangements for trailer storage and/or additional boat slips at 305-809-3981.


Families are welcomed in our vacation rentals. Student groups are not permitted. Our minimum age requirement to rent is 25 years old. Everyone in your party must be 25 years old to check in unless accompanied by a parent. No Birthday Bachelor or Bachelorette parties. No Pets

  This condo was very well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for our 3 nights in the Keys, including a toaster for breakfasts in and a blender for drinks by the pool! There were plenty of towels and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the location! We had a 30 minute walk to Duval, Lyfts were easy to get, too. Being away from Duval, it was quiet and relaxing and out of the big crowds. We had a 5 to 10 minute drive to all the beaches...Higgs was our favorite for sand and swimming! The hammock on the balcony was a wonderful spot for morning coffee and to watch boats. The pool was very clean and well maintained. There is a little coffee shop and bar, Mellow, right next door which had great coffee and smoothies! We would absolutely stay again and recommend this place to anyone. The host was very responsive and communicative. Everything was wonderful!

  The place is nice but ran down. The faucets are loose and the plumbing makes noises. The back door is hard to lock. The sword fish is missing its nose. The elevator inspection was expired and was really noisy and scary. We were there in August. It does have all the essentials though and plenty of room, we had 6 people. Very friendly area. There are bikes to rent from the office. A grill with utensils to use by the pool. Overall I would say it was worth it, but pictures are outdated.

  A little beat up but a great location. The elevator is a little scary and one time it broke down but was repaired within a couple of hours. The balcony looks over the water with a great view. There are no condiments such as salt and pepper so you need to get everything from the supermarket if you plan to cook. I would stay there again even though the condo staff is a little grumpy

  -Forgot sunglasses and contacted 3 times rental company 20 minutes after leaving town but no response (but still receive message about parking spots?)
  -Old and creepy building. Elevator seems to work sometimes and it is stinky hot.
  -Unit is dirty. Iron was broken and leaked water everywhere. Patio door lock was broken.
  -Beds were uncomfortable. Master bathroom shower head makes huge noises when 2 bathrooms turn on water at the same time.

  my family and I really enjoyed our hotel (we took our 11 years old and 23 years old). The room was beautiful and the view perfect. it rained for 2 days while we were there but we were not cramped at all. There is a few things only that we had problem adapting .first, they need full payment when you reserve (not half at reservation and half when you get there).I almost didn t do it because that sounded like a scam. My friend stayed there once so I took his words that it was good.
  Second,I thing the whole process could be simplified too. It was a lot of work to make the reservations (many emails and don t miss them !, paper to signs, code to be received by complicated !! Pick up the phone, take my card for half and keep number in file..!)
  So hotel itself 5 stars no doubt !!! Beautiful and very clean !!!
  Making arrangements 2 stars .. I almost didn't do it because of it. My friend put a good work for the place so I did it. If it wasn t for him, I would have looked somewhere else

  OVerall this was a great place. We enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the view and being able to open the sliding doors and enjoy the breeze. We were able to easily walk most places. The check-in/check-out process was fantastic. The parking was great. We did have an issue with the air, it was hot in the back bedroom and cold in the front bedroom. We were not able to adjust the thermostat but we also did not bring it to anyone's attention, so our bad. The floors appeared clean but our feet got dirty so probably could use a good mop job. Staff was very helpful and quick when we did have questions.

  This property is ideal for two couples, large bedrooms and plenty of living area space. The spacious balcony overlooks a harbour and the view is excellent. The kitchen is very well equipped.

A few more towels and washcloths would have been awesome, but not a deal breaker, as pool towels were in the closet. The sofa's cushions and pillows could use some steam cleaning. The a/c worked well and there is plenty of space in this unit. I would say sleeps 6 comfortably. We appreciated the washer/dryer in the unit and spacious balcony. We would stay here again.

  We've been to Key West many times and always tried to stay on Duval, what a mistake !! Staying in an 8 * 8 room was not worth the discomfort of being on Duval. This condo has it all, Large bedrooms, beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, large living room with Flat screen TV. The heated pool is just awesome , overlooking the water, great place to bbq.

  We rented 3 of these apartments to house our family for our wedding. The description says they sleep 8, however that is not accurate. There were 3 beds but the fold out couch was an issue. One apartment did not have one and the others were in bad shape. Keep that in mind when booking. They only sleep 6. Otherwise great place, nice pool, good amenenties.

  The staff were helpful upon check on and there were clearly written procedures regarding trash and recycling, etc. the unit was nice and clean. I was concerned we may not have enough bath towels, but there was a good supply. The unit also came with other necessities such as toilet paper and paper towels,coffee, etc. It was well appointed with kitchen necessities. Although the upholstered furniture looked fine, I suggest the material be something that doesn't retain body oils or dirt, as I am a bit weird about sitting on funiture that sees a lot of "butts", as I don't know how clean it is..
  
  The master bed was comfortable and the sheets and blanket clean. Again, I don't know whether or not the bedspreads are washed between guests, however, if they are that would be nice information to have.
  
  The guest room had pillows that smelled of dirty hair, and when I mentioned that to the staff they offered to replace them immediately (I suggested they use pillow covers under the pillowcases). Each room had an iron, and we noticed the plate on the guest room iron wS broken, but only after filling it with water, and luckily before plugged it in! the staff wer very happy to have us bring this to their attention.
  
  The bathrooms need to be appointed for the elderly, such as rails in the shower and bath. We had my 95 yr old mother-in-law with us, and although she is ambulatory at that age balance becomes an issue. I was fortunate to get a unit with a walk in shower, which helped, but guard rails would have provided more security.
  
  All in all, I would recommend it, even though it is not in the heart of downtown.
  
  It was generally quiet,, except for the fact that the fire department is close to the building. We slept with all doors and windows closed as it was unseasonably cold. I am not sure how much noise the traffic is with windows open.

  The room was stunning and absolutely perfect for our needs. Our only issue was the very strict check out policy on Sunday morning. I read the rules up front, but considering that there was not another guest checking in that day and the fact that we cleaned every inch of the room ourselves, it would have been nice to have at least an extra hour to collect ourselves (I would have paid for it). I also would've preferred that the after hours contact we spoke to wasn't so demeaning and demanding. The housekeeping onsite Sunday morning was EXTREMELY nice and lovely, though, so she made us much happier after that phone call! We only came the room to go to sleep each night so we weren't a nuisance and I felt slightly negatively stereotyped upon check in.

  Key West is always a favorite destination for me, the perfect combination of relaxation and as much of any style of fun you are looking for. The Pelican Landing location is convenient and view from balconies and marina are lovely (although we didn't use the Marina).
  
  The good: The property was clean, functional space and close (15min) bike ride to beach or Duval areas. The property management personnel on site were very helpful and accommodating whenever we had issues.
  
  The bad: We had a lot of little issues which added up. After hours person was a little rude when we first arrived as they were not clear on the contract that they have an office at this location and instead we went to their other office downtown to try to retrieve keys so I hope this helps others to know that the after hours box is actually on site for this property.
  
  Some of the appliances were old and we had a few issues on arrival but all was corrected or replaced quickly. There was a plumbing and draining issue with the tub in second bedroom that took a few days to resolve that was a little frustrating. The biggest issue was internet connectivity and this was a nightmare and management needs to sort this out. We had to stream hotspots almost the entire time to have internet service even with repeaters in rooms and at 10pm until 12am zero performance so unable to use apple tv or work on computers. For any price point this is a category basic, internet MUST work.
  
  Special note to those pulling trailers to Key West, parking space is limited at properties and trailer parking (boat or motorcycle) is a challenge in Key West so plan in advance or be prepared to move your trailer every 3-4 days to a new spot before being towed.

  Nice fish cleaning station. Pool was so, so; on the small side so a bit crowded at times.
  
  The only negatives: condo floors (all tile) were a bit dirty. Two ice machines (only one worked) & management sometimes put "out of order" on it although it wasn't. Needed to use key to access ice, elevator & room. Good for security but a hassle especially when coming in off...we had 3 keys & 5 people; should have gotten 5 keys.

  Great location at the corner of Truman Ave. and Eisenhower Dr. Andros Retreat was as described and worked perfectly for my wife and I and another couple. Andros has 2 bedrooms and each has a private bathroom. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all on one side of the unit with plenty of elbow room. Very comfortable. The kitchen is very nice with all of the appliances including a large refrigerator. There is a full size laundry area with W/D in the unit. we did not use the W/D but it was nice to know it was there if needed. The unit is spacious with a huge balcony with an outdoor dining table, chairs and lounges. The unit has a great view of the Garrison Bight Marina which we enjoyed every morning with coffee. The unit was very clean and smelled fresh. Great check-in and customer service. We would definitely stay here again. We rented scooters for the week and had no problem getting to Duval or anywhere else on the island. There is a Publix grocery store a few blocks north on N. Roosevelt Blvd. for groceries.

  The Condo was clean, large, about 1200 sq feet. We had a third floor unit with a nice view of the marina. Pool are was nice but the weather was cool with highs in the upper 60's and wind. You could find a place by the pool in the sun out of the wind to enjoy a little sun bathing in the morning. In the afternoon the pool would be in the shade. It was a bit of a walk to Duval Street (about a mile). We didn't have a car so we walked everywhere. No restaurants close, we found a great bakery on the corner of Grinnell and Eaton to get breakfast pastries. The kitchen was fully capable to allow cooking breakfast, or stocking up cereal and bread for breakfast. Towels were available in the bath, but were not changed daily. Might have been an option I missed.. Would stay again, but would probably look for a closer to town place.

  Very nice unit with necessities provided -- kitchen items, tissues, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, hairdryer, shampoo, etc. Generally turnkey. Nice view, and good insulation in walls -- neighbors with parties weren't heard through the walls, ceiling or floors. Just a few maintenance issues. The PVC slats covering the window in the master bedroom facing the water do not open and close properly and need to be completely replaced. The bathroom door in that bedroom is louvered, and can't be closed completely from the bathroom side. The bedroom door provides the only complete privacy for the bathroom. The floor was dirty -- and although there is a comment on the bottom of the paperwork saying that this is caused by people leaving the sliding door open and charter boat diesel fumes settling, my experience with living in a place like this tell me that this is simply not true. There are very few boats that come and go in the marina, and the air is clean. The floor was dirty when we got there, and nobody had opened the sliding glass door. Seems they are protecting their air conditioning with this statement, and I understand that. The rest of the condo was clean. We arrived late, and the key was waiting for us in the locked box. We left pillows there, and they were mailed to us (with our okay to charge our credit card for the cost) the next day. Great staff, but hopefully this review will help to point out the few minor changes needed.

  A group of my girlfriends visited Key West for a relaxing long weekend. Pelican Landing was the perfect spot for the 7 of us. We had plenty of room for everyone in the Andros retreat. I loved the view of the water from the balcony. I also liked how the elevator and stairwell need a key to access. This definitely made us feel more safe!
  
  The building itself needs a little bit of updating, but the inside of our suite was very nice. The parking lot is a little tight and guests aren't allowed to park in the garage. It was kind of a pain for us because they were doing some construction and had a huge dumpster taking up parking spaces while the garage was empty.
  
  All in all, it is a very nice place to stay. We were able to walk to Duval street in about 15-20 minutes. I would definitely stay at Pelican Landing again.

The sleep sofa bed however was not comfortable at all and we appreciate the fact that it is a sleep sofa bed but when the condo is advertised to sleep 8 people then I think they need to up date the sleep sofa bed to reflect the nightly pricing. The oven nobs are broken and it was hard to get the electric rings to turn off. Master bathroom could use a face lift but all in all not a bad experience. the gentleman at the office was very helpful and accommodating.

  The 'Andros Suite' was great. It has a beautiful view of the water and the pool down below. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. We cooked dinner for 8 with no problem. The office staff were super friendly - and on leaving, we couldn't find one of our keys - and of course, once we got back to Miami, it magically appeared. I called the office and they let me mail it back to them without charging me the key replacement fee.
  
  The only two cons:
  * The kitchen desperately needs a spatula and some tongs! (those were literally the only things missing)
  * The weather was not the 'tropical paradise' I'd been hoping for - so I guess we'll have to come back!

Our condo, the Andros suite, was nice and very clean but was in need of a few minor repairs - broke cabinet doors, off balance fans, and door vertical blinds that fell off when opening and shutting. When I mentioned these things to the management staff person, her response was - " oh those are custom cabinets." Not concerned at all. For the price we paid, I expect more.

  The condo was really clean and the rooms were spacious. It overlooks the bay , so the views are very pleasing to the eye. The security is solid, they have keys to the elevators as well, so you know only guests have access.
  
  The location is the USP of this place. It is so close to all the activity- the beaches- Duval street- name it and everything is just 5 minutes away. If you have a car that's great, but it is a great place to rent bikes and just bike around.
  
  The place had 2 bathrooms, one of which had a clogged bathtub, which they fixed as soon as we called for assistance.
  
  Highly recommended!! The only thing I would like to suggest is -carry a pair of flip flops to wear around the house , cause of the proximity to the sea and the roads , the floor is not as clean as one would like it to be, but nothing that a pair of flip flops cannot solve :)

  The tile floors need to be steam cleaned, this is our 4th year walking on grimy tiles. Put on white socks and walk for 5 minutes, you'll see. The bed linens this year were very rough and uncomfortable. Please unclog the parking lot drain so the dumpster
  washout doesn't stand and smell up the entire property. THIS IS A HEALTH HAZARD! Dirty tiles and smelly parking lots need to be addressed ASAP. If these are done and maintained throughout the year, your property would be almost perfect. Could you add fans

  The Manager was incredible, went above and beyond!! We would hire her in a second for our office if she lived in Tampa. Your location is perfect for our boating family. Dockage was perfect and pool and patio very nice. Our 4th year in the same unit, and we will stay again. Love having a washer and dryer in the unit. Problem areas... Cockroaches were all over our kitchen area. We are a very clean family never leave dishes or food out. Still there were LOTS of roaches of every size from little tiny ones all the way to full grown! Tile floors were not very clean, even in low traffic areas like the master bedroom, your socks would become dirty just walking. The cushions on the couches in the family room needed a good cleaning or replacing. Easy things to fix with a deep cleaning and pest control. Lastly, the elevator did not have an inspection sticker, hopefully it just fell off.
